CONNECTION IS WELLBEING

There are 3 essential pillars for cultivating wellbeing. The best way to foster growth and meaningful work is to create the conditions for people to be at their best.

  1. Connection to Self: I feel good about who I am and understand my strengths. 

  2. Connection to Others: I feel appreciated and valued by the group. 

  3. Connection to the Environment: I see myself in the place, community, or organization. 

HEALTH OF THE WHOLE 

Like an athlete’s energy must be managed to avoid burnout and injury, so must an employee’s. This work is a marathon, not a sprint. Meaningful change takes time, and we need our activists to stay engaged for the long haul. We must design and prioritize the health of ecosystem.

PLAY IS ROCKET FUEL

Creativity, energy, and connection are exacerbated when we play, fueling our motivation to go further, navigate turbulence, and get after ambitious visions. When we play we engage with a part of ourselves that supersedes the ego, allowing for more radical world building. 

WORDS BUILD WORLDS

We must be thoughtful and intentional with our words, they are the beginnings of sentences that inform what we think about and therefore create. When we play with words we reimagine our systems.
